The pink part is comfortable gel filled eye cover that helps to hold the white electrode mask in place and keep in solid contact with your skin. The gel mask portion may be warmed in a microwave or cooled in a freezer to add to the therapy being delivered with the mask.

The main difference between this eye mask and the blue dry electrode is this mask has the silicone to aide current crossing the skin so the treatment is more comfortable. It also has eye holes that allow you to read, watch TV, or generally interact with the world during your microcurrent session. The Blue Dry Electrode mask has some small holes that make mild vision possible but is not meant to be see through.
